What is the link between a potbelly and a inefficient colon?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: colon

I've heard that the actual cause of a potbelly is a sagging ,clogged colon. Is this just hype from the emerging colon cleanse market, or is there science to back this up? If the colon has more mass then it should then I guess it could cause the ab muscles to bend outward…anyone have any thoughts on this?

Someone is feeding you a load of crap (pardon the pun). Pot-belly is usually caused by drinking too much beer. Rarely is it caused by any other reason. If you have a clogged colon, over an extended period of time, you will die. If you don't want a clogged colon, drink some Castor oil. That will fix it so long as you can stand the taste.

Is my colon so full of toxins that I warrant at least three emails a day offering to cleanse it?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: colon

Apparently I can lose as much as six pounds in one week just by cleansing my colon. And it must be an issue, because there is no shortage of people out there who are more than willing to help me. I guess maybe all those toxins are worth something to someone. Is it worth quitting my good aerospace job to pursue a career cleansing colons?
You guys are killing me! This is hysterical!

According to my e-mail I am a bald man with no energy who is fat, out of work and can't find my friends. My penis needs to grow 6 inches and my boobs are too small too. Butt seriously……

How can I clean out my colon at home?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: colon

I've heard detoxing your body such as the colons and liver can improve your skin because your skin is basically an organ that removes things from your body too and that's why we have pores.

How can I detox at home and clean out my colon without buying pills or anything? Does fasting work? Thanks!

How often should you do colon cleansing and is it really safe?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: colon

When doing a colon cleansing should you go to a facility that specializes in colon cleaning or is it safe to use natural herbs from a herb shop.

Unless you have a colon problem you probably shouldn't do anything to "cleanse" the colon. If you do have colon problems then you need to consult a physician.

It’s the first week back to school. With all the recent concerns about processed meat products; food recalls, warnings from TV commercials linking hot dogs to colon cancer, and concerns about listeriosis, parents can only be left confused and concerned about what to send with their children for snacks and lunches.

What are the possible causes of a colon infection?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: colon

My friend's husband was in the hospital for a week with an infection of the colon. What could have caused it and how can it be prevented?

same thing happened to me!!!!! my dr. told me it was from most likely eating fish!!!! he said during warm months that we tend to eat more fish (u know we go on vacation?) and that some fish can harbor bacteria that cause colon infections!!! yikes! i literally thought i was ging to die! i was so sick!! now, besides not eating fish entirely..i make sure all the fish i eat is well-cooked, i make sure that it is from the ocean..not freshwater fish! and i limit my intake. freshwater fish r more likely to have come into contact w/contaminates. like catfish for example. hope he gets better. it was a long time before they figured out the problem for me. i was on a lot of antibiotics for a long time. i had to get 4 days of iv's to help build my fluids back. it was VERY unpleasant! my advise if u r really worried, just eat fish rarely and do not eat freshwater fish of any kind! (bass, catfish, crappie, etc.)

What is the difference between Colon Cancer and Intestinal Cancer?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: colon

And how does one get screened for Intestinal cancer?

Colon cancer runs in my family and I have a colonoscopy every year. But I found out that a close relative has Intestinal cancer.

As other peole pointed out, "colon" cancer is a cancer specific of the large intestin, whereas "intestinal" cancer could affect any part of the intestine (including the small intestine, i.e. duodenum, ileum and jujenum).

If colon cancer runs in your family, you are likely to have FAP, or Familial adenomatous polyposis, an inherited colorectal cancer syndrome. People with the classic type of familial adenomatous polyposis may begin to develop multiple noncancerous (benign) polyps (growths) in the colon as early as their teenage years.
This cancer usually develops in the lower part of the digestive system, including the large intestine (colon) and rectum. However, the FAP syndrome could present a risk factor for the cancer of the small intestine (what your relative might have), therefore this person could also carry the genetic mutation that confers cancer predisposition (the APC gene, in the case of FAP).

What is the difference in the stages of colon cancer?

Posted by: admin  :  Category: colon

my boyfriend has 4th stage colon cancer. They removed some of the colon. they now say both lobes of his liver have cancer spots and they are concerned about a spot on his lung.

As colon cancer progresses from Stage 0 to Stage IV, the cancer cells grow through the layers of the colon wall and spread to lymph nodes and other organs.

Stage 0 (Carcinoma in Situ)
In stage 0, abnormal cells are found in the innermost lining of the colon. These abnormal cells may become cancer and spread into nearby normal tissue. Stage 0 is also called carcinoma in situ.
Stage I
In stage I, cancer has formed and spread beyond the innermost tissue layer of the colon wall to the middle layers. Stage I colon cancer is sometimes called Dukes A colon cancer.
Stage II
Stage II colon cancer is divided into stage IIA and stage IIB.
Stage IIA: Cancer has spread beyond the middle tissue layers of the colon wall or has spread to nearby tissues around the colon or rectum.
Stage IIB: Cancer has spread beyond the colon wall into nearby organs and/or through the peritoneum.
Stage II colon cancer is sometimes called Dukes B colon cancer.

Stage III
Stage III colon cancer is divided into stage IIIA, stage IIIB, and stage IIIC.

Stage IIIA: Cancer has spread from the innermost tissue layer of the colon wall to the middle layers and has spread to as many as 3 lymph nodes.
Stage IIIB: Cancer has spread to as many as 3 nearby lymph nodes and has spread:
beyond the middle tissue layers of the colon wall; or to nearby tissues around the colon or rectum; or
beyond the colon wall into nearby organs and/or through the peritoneum.
Stage IIIC: Cancer has spread to 4 or more nearby lymph nodes and has spread:
to or beyond the middle tissue layers of the colon wall; or to nearby tissues around the colon or rectum; or to nearby organs and/or through the peritoneum.
Stage III colon cancer is sometimes called Dukes C colon cancer.

Stage IV
In stage IV, cancer may have spread to nearby lymph nodes and has spread to other parts of the body, such as the liver or lungs. Stage IV colon cancer is sometimes called Dukes D colon cancer.
