cleanse the colon
I was taking colon cleanse pills for about 5 days. I have has a severe sharp pain in my left side. I have had several BMs but this pain will not go away. I am taking gas x, because I also seem to have a lot of gas.
Having a lot of gas can cause pains in your side. Try to eat some bulky foods and hopefully it will pass soon and drink plenty of water.

cleanse the colon
My boyfriend and I are considering colon cleanses even though we know they may not be the best for us. My boyfriend is a pooping and farting machine and myself, I'm lucky to poop once a day every day. How do we decide which road to take?
you dont need to cleanse your colon. your body takes care of itself. no you will not poop out years of built up waste. I'm sure you have heard the claims of people passing tumors or built up mucous stuff, but its not true. what they are passing is the fiber product they used. the best thing to do to be regular and have a clean intestinal tract is to drink plenty of water, also drinking a cup of coffee in the mornings and eating plenty of good food will make you clean and healthy. I'm just trying to help you out, i did a whole project on these products so i would like to save you some money, time and worry. watch this.

cleanse the colon
Is there a difference other than the time frame involved? This is what I mean, when someone needs to get their colon checked for cancer or polyps or whatever at the doctor's office, they have to drink this nasty liquid stuff the day before that totally cleans your system out.
Then there is the stuff you can buy over the counter or online. Something like this is what I am referring to….
http://www.drnatura.com/colonix_program.php
Why does one take so much longer than the other… is one more effective?
What other factors should someone who is thinking about doing this take into consideration? I have heard of hydro cleansing but that is not an option due to the high cost. So that is why I am not inquiring about that now.
Anyone have any first hand experience with either one of these, even both would be better. Thanks a lot everyone.
I'm not too familiar with medical cleanses, but I have taken an over the counter one and I work for a Vitamin company. Basically its all herbs that are for colon detox (ex. cascarda sagrada, slippery elm, etc) These and other herbs will slowly take the "toxic material" that is in your colon, and the fiber part of the cleanse will flush it out. The one I took was a 2-week whole body cleanse by Enzymatic therapy, and it consisted of liver cleansing herbs (milk thistle) Laxative formula and fiber pills. Basically in week one I took 4 fiber capsules in the morning, 3 laxative pills at night w/ 1 milk thistle tablet and 4 more fiber capsules. The second week it was the same amount of fiber but less laxative and more milk thistle. So, a colon cleanse product will be very close to this. Its inexpensive at some health stores (I've heard Dr. naturas products are good, but they are pricey) Anyways, I hope this helps some.

cleanse the colon
With so many different colon cleansing products on the market with a HUGE difference in price ($9.00 up to $300.00) how does one go about picking one? I want one that works, but I'd rather not pay $300.00. I've read tons on the internet so now I'd like to know YOUR personal experiences with specific products. Which have you used, which do you like, which don't you like and why. Please only those who have done a cleansing answer. Thanks!
Fleets Phosphate ! I have to have colonoscopys regularly and find the foul taste can be mitigated drinking ice cold ginger ale. That and the fact it works pretty well. Provided you are doing it for a medical exam. Otherwise….you are in for a night of pain.

cleanse the colon
I'm type 1 diabetic and have been on insulin for a little over a year. I feel like I'm in seiruos need for a colon cleanse (I'm not going to go into details) and I'd like to do something that basically flushes my system out and can help me on my way to eating better and keeping my colon clean and healthy. Are there any colon cleanse programs that are safe for diabetics?
Whatever you do make sure to ask your Dr. or the manufacturer of product.
So often most of these can have added sugars for osmotic reasons. Read label very carefully .
And keep very close watch on glucose levels during and after.

cleanse the colon
what is the best way to cleanse your colon?
I haven't used the dual action cleanse. The one I prefer is Herbal Fiberblend. It's a powdered herb and fiber combo. It doesn't taste very good (I mix it with grape juice to make it easier), but it really works great.
Obviously, eating right is the best choice for anyone, but even with that we tend to accumulate a lot of toxins, etc., in our system from a variety of sources. I think a yearly cleanse is a good healthy idea. This particular cleanse gets rid of any parasites you may have picked up along the way, too.
If you decide to go with a colon cleansing product, be sure to drink plenty of water. You won't get as good results if you don't.
